About the Webinar

Cybercriminals are constantly evolving, and tax professionals are becoming high-risk targets given the data they manage. A cybercriminal can steal your clients' personal information to commit tax fraud. If you take a few critical steps to protect all of your digital devices, you can better protect your clients' personal and financial information. Let’s review IRS publications; 4524, 5027, 5199 and 5293. Focus on the five principles of cybersecurity: identity, protect, detect, respond, and recover.

Participants will earn 1.0 CE credit at the end of this session. To earn credit, participants must answer three of four random questions asked during the program.

By the end of this webinar, you will be able to;

  • Review IRS publications; 4524, 5027, 5199 and 5293
  • Know the warning signs
  • Protect your client's personal information
  • Keep your computer and mobile phone secure
  • Avoid phishing scams and malware
  • Develop an effective incident response program
  • Recommend the steps for identity theft victims
